It is a powerful weapon in the right hands, and can deal a high amount of damage with immense speed with the lunge attack. (116 walkspeed to be precise.) The authentic way to obtain the Epic Katana is to have all six colored Katanas, where it will form on spawn, unlike the All Season Sword, where it requires a specific gear to be equipped and unequipped.
However, the other way to obtain the Epic Katana, although illegitimately, is to:
- You must own the "Ocherous Katana of the Setting Sun," also known as the Orange Katana. Owning any others without the Orange Katana will not work. If you do own the Orange Katana AND other colored katanas, then the process will be less time consuming. Any other katanas that are not colored will not work.
- Bring it to a game that allows the katanas. (Namely Melee gear in the Ninja genre.)
- Drop the katanas in a spot, preferably somewhere hidden and you can store the katanas without being taken by others.
- Reset. This is necessary to reobtain more colored katanas.
- Repeat steps 3-4 until you have about six colored katanas. The more katanas you have, the quicker this will take.
- Pick up the six katanas, and equip/unequip the Orange Katana. If done properly, it should form into the Epic Katana.
